INVOLVEMENT
My fall involvement goal was to write one new piece for Buzzsaw while working as an editor.
BUZZSAW Magazine
BUZZSAW is a student-run publication on campus. My goal this semester was to write one new piece for the magazine. I stopped writing for the publication when I became an editor, but I want to build my professional portfolio. I served as Upfront editor this fall. My first piece of poetry will be published this December.
BomberTHON
IC BomberTHON is a Dance Marathon that works with Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital and Miracle Network. This semester I served as the Vice President of Membership. The focus this semester has been on recruitment and finding a location for our event in the winter. I learned the importance of delegating tasks. This makes it easier to get everything done and makes every member of the organization feel like they are contributing to the cause.
Orientation Staff
I worked on O-Staff and learned how to work with a team and how to lead a group of large people. This gave me experience with public speaking and meeting new people.
