SERVICE

The 2020 presidential election presented a host of new challenges for organizers. I decided to get involved in my local community with reaching out to voters. I participated in phone banking with the Delaware County Democratic Youth Committee.

I called Pennsylvania voters to offer them voting resources for the election and helped them create voting plans. I also discussed Joe Biden's campaign with them and encouraged them to get out and vote for officials at the federal and state level.

This taught me how to be professional and courteous on the phone, as well as how to interact with complete strangers over controversial topics. It also allowed me to make great connections with other youth leaders in my local area.
