My goal is to participate in the smooth running of the first BomberTHON and dance For The Kids
Dancing at BomberTHON
My service durning the BomberTHON event was working in conjunction with the nonprofit Miracle Network to benefit Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. I chose this project because funding for families impacted by childhood illness is an important issue to me and I wanted to build connections with students and a nonprofit who are aligned with the same priorities as me.
In addition to dancing on my feet for over 5 hours, I participated in the setup and cleanup of the event. I also worked at the registration table, made decorations, and helped facilitate the dinner for participants. I learned the value of working as a team when trying something new. The BomberTHON Executive Board personally thanked every committee member after the event and this showed me how crucial it is to show appreciation to those who help you.
