With COVID-19 placing restrictions on public gatherings, I decided to assist a local community organization in my hometown, our youth sports association, in working on a plan for dealing with the new restrictions.

The greatest issue the SAA faced is that the executive board could not meet in person to discuss a plan moving forward. Many of them did not have much experience with online conference video platforms, a program essential to the group's needs. I worked with the board to help them organize online meetings through the Zoom platform, a technology service completely new too many of them, so that they could discuss how to move forward for the athletic season. I chose to help this organization because it helped me learn the importance of patience and positive outlook in difficult situations. A leader has to understand that individuals have different strengths and assist them in whatever capacity they need to be successful when difficulties arise.
